It shouldn't be dark blue, just 'cause it's dark outside doesn't mean you need to make a dark header, last time I checked we didn't make the header darker at night ever day. Not to mention the fact that it's not even that dark out in the day, at the moment, it's fully clouded here but still a really light grey. I would more readily associate the white of snow etc with winter not the dark sky at night.

It makes much more sense(and looks much better) to make a header which fits in with the forums design.

All I did was expand upon eljays (which has been used for ages). I kept the same design colours, just randomised the snow and a few more details...
