lol thats what I just said I use RC1 with plus! I just don't have the features I one I really use that doesn't work is logging and emoticon sounds

my friend has the new messenger and messenger plus is fully compatible? the coloured fonts on the msn name works completely normal?

Messenger Plus! is not fully compatible. To be honest, the fewest things work. So your friend will have to wait with upgrading to the latest Messenger RC if he/she needs/wants Plus! to be working.

It's a bit confusing. Your friend doesn't have the very latest version. There's a slightly older 'build', which is still the new 2009 version, which Plus! is compatible with. Your friend has that version. More info:

In total there are 3 different builds of Live Messenger 2009, Messenger Plus! is only compatible with the oldest 2 builds.

• The first build (sometimes called Beta 1) is over a year old and was only released to a small group of testers. Not many people are still using this build, but if you do, Messenger Plus! Live 4.70.334 is compatible with this build.
  
• The second build is labeled 14.0.5027.908 (sometimes called Beta 2) and was available as a public beta until december 15. for the people that cannot return to 8.5, just RESTORE SYSTEM to a date that u had WLM 8.5. Just remembre to BACKUP your Spftware installed AFTER that.

No, a new version has not yet been made.

There will be an announcement from Patchou in the Announcements section of the forum when this happens but don't necessarily expect it to be soon as he is currently involved with several things
