i also suggested this when giving feedback on the new msn.

I reckon there should be an offline mode in messenger - when you aren't connected to the internet. You should be able to post messages and people can post to you, and when you reconnect they are sent to each other - put in the correct order, and highlighted to show they were sent in offline mode.

When the internet goes, Messenger doesn't instantly sign out - it's a while before it does that, and it doesn't tell you messages fail for ages. And even if they do send - they're in the wrong order.

Would this be possible?

I think this function need both users to have it to make it happen cause when you get DC'd then you most likely should be able to store whatever you write but the other user haven't got any respons and could just think you are afk. I don't know if you could just tell the other msn to temp what is written and then send it again if you DC.

How can Messenger have a offline mode?


Unless you ment LAN mode, which in this case, is out of Plus!' scope...
