Hi Patchou and Community in General!

First at all, I'm trying the new beta for WLM final... it's awesome.. no bugs at all. Congrats!

I'm here to make a suggestion for version 5.0 (I hope it's going to be awesome). It's a feature that was offered  by MsgDiscovery called "Fake using Web Messenger or a Mobile device" (e.g.: WLM for BlackBerry, Nokia) in previous versions. It makes to appear as connected from my mobile device or from Web Messenger in the buddy list. I think that it could easily done with a registry change, which obviously I don't know.

Or, in the other side, can somebody make a script for this?

Please think about this feature, it will complete Plus! for me.

P.D.: If anybody knows the registry key for appearing from my mobile device in WLM 2009, please post it here. It would be awesome!

Personally I don't see how that would be useful or fun. I doubt it's a registry setting as the PC client is not designed to identify itself as a mobile device. Most likely it's done on the protocol level, which is something Plus! (almost) never touches.

Ohh.. Thanks for the answer.. Now im thinking about that and msgdiscovery had another function.. Imitate but when sending a message it change the nick but never i see thay change

However, when I uninstalled discovery, that tweak for appering from a mobile device was left untouched. That's why I thought it was a registry setting. Strange...

One of the values there determines if you're shown as mobile. To be able to change this, Plus would have to directly interfere with the protocol messages that are sent.

Messenger Plus! Scripts commonly cannot access the protocol level of Messenger's communication with the notification server (although there used to be external libraries like Xniff to intercept details on the sent and received server messages). However, there are other (also upcoming) add-ons providing a low-level access to the protocol; that's not part of Plus!'s philosophy not to touch Messenger's external communication.

Can I make a question? How the tweak for appearing from a mobile device remains also when I uninstalled Discovery?

Please note that actual buids of Discovery does not offer that function as well, but it remained.. Strange again!
