hi, i am using windows live messenger 2009. Before that i ve used windows aero messenger interface and i wanna use its expressions on windows live messenger 2009. Is there a simple solution for this ?

The simple answer is: no
Old skins cannot be used on Windows Live Messenger 2009, they would have to be completely re-written.
So far there are only a handful of compatible skins for WLM 2009, the majority of which simply provide options for customisation, rather than actually changing the look of Messenger.
As time goes on, more skins will be released that are compatible with WLM 2009.
So basically either wait patiently, or create your own

Nah there is no simple fix. I really wish it was that easy to do an update but its not. The change from 8.5 to 9 was just too great and it needs a complete re-write and also redesign in some areas.
I don't plan to update Windows Aero Messenger to 2009 just yet simply because I am bored of the vista look at them moment. Plus I want to give Windows 7 time to evolve a bit more. The design will be tweaked later to suit 7 better.
So yeah I would not expect anything anytime soon. But I do have some skins coming out soonish to keep people busy until then.
