The event logging was working again after I had downgraded my wlm to 8.5 last night. But it only worked for last night, and it is not working again today...
and i am sicked to reinstall my wlm and msgplus again...

is msgplus 4.8 causing the problem or what?
everything was fine before but it turned to a mess since yesterday.

anyone can help..pls?

I am using the latest wlm 9 with the latest msgplus 4.80 since 1/2, the event logging for all my contact was working well since then.  But I noticed the event logging is not working today, and it only record the status changes of my account, it doesn't record any status change of my contacts, and I am wondering why it's not working suddenly.

The only problem i am thinking of is...

I updated the wlm to the latest version in my workplace today(didn't install msgplus), and I signed in at my workplace, after that I came home then I found the event logging function is malfunctioned, does it gonna affect the logging function after I signed in at my workplace?

I have reinstalled my wlm and msgplus few times already, and the event logging function is still not working.....

Windows Live Messenger(MSN)  2009 14.0.8050.1202
with xp sp2

i think i'm having the exact problem...   good to know i'm not the only one =D

control panel >

istall/unistall >

messenge plus! live > REMOVE


a msgr plus window appear...

u have 2 select "repair" option and disable script and remove skins..

so u'll be sure to get messenger working

yes, they are all ticked and I believe there's nothing wrong with my setting, so probably msgplus 4.8 is not working perfectly on my pc.

hmm...  i downgraded my MSN back to 8.5 and right away the event logging works again..  so i attempted to install it back to 2009 and the very same problem comes up again....

strangely...  my laptop also uses windows Live Messenger 2009 but seems to be functionning properly...

seems no one can help on this problem....
