Hi there,

I haveant been able to sign on window live messenger for the past 4 days. I have absolutely tried every possible solution available online with no luck.

I am using brand new laptop from dell (studio) which i got about 3 weeks ago with internet from t-mobile usb dongle. at first everything was working ok and just suddenly few days ago out of the blue this problem started and like i said i have done it all, even reformatted my pc but still to no vail.

Can someone please help me. I really miss my window live messenger (-

What version of Windows Live Messenger do you have?
Help> About Messenger

Also, there are already alot of threads about the same problem. So, maybe you should have a look.

Version 2009 (Build 14.0.8050.1202). I believe this is the latest version, if not please do let me know so i can update.

Yeh thanks for the links but i have tried them all before deciding to post this for help. Very weird i know that i am still not able to log in?

Also is it possible the problem is to do with my internet connection from t-mobile uk? but then again i can use window live messenger on other computer at home that use same internet connect so now i pretty much doubt that.

No, you should upgrade to the latest version of Windows Live Messenger (Build 14.0.8064.206) that you can get from here. Please let us know if it works.

Yes i did,

i have followed all their solutions plus

- have tried to adjust my Microsoft Internet Explorer security settings,
- run each command
- disable all the firewall and antivirus
- tried adding wlm to my allow list
- disabled the Auto Tuning Networking feature
- tried removing Windows Live Messenger and then re-installing it
and the rest.

That's weird, do you have antivirus or antispyware programs that might conflict with Windows Live Messenger?

I only have/use McAfee Security Centre which i have currently disable it although another thing to keep in mind is that i had mcafee anti virus before this problem accurs and wlm with mcafee been on was working ok untill 4 days ago when i started having this problem.
