O.P. Error Code 80191002, LOTS of problems
I have been getting this error code forever. Recently, I updated to Windows Live 9 and it was fine. Today however, it came up again.
I did everything I had done previously, but was having a very hard time uninstalling. Windows Live did not appear under my Add/Remove Files link. It could not repair the other things (Windows Sign-In Help). I removed the Program Files by deleting everything.
However, now when I go to install Messanger again, it says I already have it although the .exe file no long exists on my computer. Is there a way to download the old client, or am I screwed?

Its not under Windows Live anymore. Now they call it Windows Live Essentials.

Ahhh, okay. Even so, every file/folder starting with Windows Live is now gone from my computer, besides "Windows Live Call". For the past two hours I have been Googling sites to download an older version, such as 8.5, but they are all telling me to uninstall the newer version, which currently does not exist on my computer. There is no msnmsgr.exe file on my computer, as I deleted it.

Try using ZapMessenger to remove all traces of WLM and then try running the installer again
You should re-install WLM 2009 once you've done this, rather than 8.5....as 8.5 is currently subject to some forced upgrades

RE: Error Code 80191002, LOTS of problems
I fixed all my problems (various errors ending with 80191002) by using ZapMessenger and installing 8.1. Maybe I'll try version 2009 in another 6 months when it might work with my system.
Thanks for ZapMessenger!! I would have been lost without it!

RE: Error Code 80191002, LOTS of problems
I had a working copy of WLM, and one account that I regularly used.
I installed MsgPlus, and enabled the multiple accounts feature, now one account can sign in, but the other account gives the above error (80191002).
I tried repairing WLM through Add/Remove programs, and I'm still getting the same issue, one account can sign in, and the other one can't. I know for a fact that the one that can't sign in can sign in using Webmessenger and eBuddy.
Any clues??
