If you look at the bar below where you type into, there are no buttons for emotes or fonts or anything.

I've spoken to friends and other people, im the only person whos had this problem and i've got no idea how to fix it.

Any help is appreciated greatly.

What kind of skin are you using?

In a conversation:

Press Alt, Go to Tools, then Toolbars, the make sure "Formatting" is checked.
