O.P. Great, new problem with weird error code.
I managed to have successfully re-installed WLM, finally. But there is a new issue :(

When I attempt to sign in, I get error code 8007007e. I googled it and went to yahoo answers, but none of the results there on how to fix it (uninstall completely with ZapMessenger, run windows installer clean up, reinstall, etc.) worked properly.

Anyone know what I can do to fix this? =\
