... When I actually paid for 750GB? I don't think so!
So I bought a 750GB HDD from Maplins only to go home, install it and find out it was a lot less when assigning it a drive letter. I know you usually end up with a bit less, but this was stupid. So I took it back out and it was a 500GB HDD.
I only bought it because they were out of 1TB drives and I wanted one straight away. Luckily, another Maplins nearby has decided to exchange it for the 1TB drive (they are actually the same price; go figure).
To top things off though, my gf bought a laptop charger as her Acer one broke (we've been through about 4 different universal ones so far). Plugged it in... no power. The label on the shelf said 19V adapter which should have been perfect. Well the adapter says 12V. Fantastic, 2 switched items
Also luckily, I found the perfect charger for her on the Maplins web site, although it was a web only item. The store I'm exchanging the HDD at though, also happens to have some of these chargers in stock and is willing to exchange that too. YAY!
All I need to do now is get the card reader on
my phone to start working again (even though I'll lose my customised firmware)
