I haven't had to resize a large amount of pictures before so I would do them one by one but is there a way to resize a group of pictures all at once. I have over 700 pictures to resize

If you've got Photoshop, there's a "Image Processor" option in "Files\Scripts" menu that can do the job for you.

If you want to resize all images to the same dimensions, you can do it in Microsoft Office Picture Manager.

I don't have Photoshop and I didn't know about Microsoft Office Picture Manager until now. It works great thanks a lot!

In PaintShopPro there is also a similar batch processing feature which allows you to resize a bunch of images quickly...

In fact, most decent graphic editors have such a batch processing feature.

And if you don't have a big graphics program there are a gazillion (free) tools on the web to do just that.

Microsoft Office Picture Manager seems to have done the trick this time but it did take a little while. I'll definitely try that one next time. Thanks so much
