I am trying to have a video call with a friend.  But we can get 2 way audio video call working together.  I am using vista live messanger and he using live messanger in XP.  When I try a video conferance call with him we can't get 2 way Audio & Video working together.  Eather we can hear each other or see each other not both.  Is there a work around for this?

Which versions of Messenger are you both using? (Look under 'Help' then 'About Messenger')

Also, are either of you able to successfully video call with other people?  Or does the problem exist with all contacts?

We are both using live Messanger 2009 (build 14.0.8064.206).  Me vista him Windows XP.  Also I have got Audio & Video working in Messanger with another Vista Live Messanger user.  So I am still unsure what the porblem is.

I'm having the same problem we cant speak at the sametime it will mute the other person....also if you go quiet for 2 secs it mutes the mic until you make a loud enough sound for it to turn back on =\
