I'm so glad this script is not dead (development-wise).
The new GUI looks great.

I hope the new version will not inherit so many bugs from current version...
For instance, the new Boolean thing - it's just doesn't work.

Because of that the session screenshots being deleted even though its turned off in the settings.

So, in ss4.preferences.js after I replaced all new Boolean with Boolean it fixed many problems, including "delete screenshots when sign out".

It has been completely recoded from scratch so no you wont see this problem.

A lot of effort has gone into this on my behalf to make this the best update ever for Screenshot Sender 5. I could have released it with the features it had previously but decided to hold off and finish the new features I did want to add. Such as the Overlay Text feature.

Please have paitence with me as this takes a bit for one person to code when they have limited time available. Once all coding is finished the GUI will be updated across the script then will go through beta testing/translation stage. Once that is complete you will have your update .

I haven't done any developing on it as of late. Been real busy with other things. However my laptop power adapter took a dump and my encryption software on my other laptop I forgot the password for and it locked me out of my account... YAY!

PointSec. It is a laptop I use for business purposes.

is it possible to further compress the size of png images?
a similar printscreen shot in ms paint saved as png produced a much smaller size compared to the one generated by SS4.

200kb(SS4) vs 48kb (paint)

I will see what I can do. I have read that saving it to a Stream then writing it to a file significantly reduces the size but I will have to see.

Just some updates.

Matti has joined the development team to help speed up the process. After looking over the code the majority of features have been completed it is only a matter of time.

Once the features are completed the entire script is going to get a UI make over. And then it is on to beta testing and translation. As for beta testing I was considering using the Plus! testers but we will see when the time comes.
