RE: advertising
Just use A-patch. This can also be achieved via Skinning.

If you want to have the ads removed in Vista United Skin, you only have to go to:

  • Go to start (Windows XP), In Vista the round at the left of the bottom.
  • Now go to run (Windows XP), On Vista search for Run.
  • Typ in the box the following text: %programfiles%\Messenger Plus! Live\Skins\Vista United Skin\Tweaks. Press Enter.
  • In the folder you see two files: HideAds.reg and ShowAds.reg.
  • To hide the advertisement click on HideAds.reg, restart Windows Live Messenger and your changes takes effect.
  • To display the advertisement click on ShowAds.reg, restart Windows Live Messenger and your changes takes effect.

I hope you understand it, otherwise send me a e-mail.
