I have downloaded windows live previously except it didn't work, so i uninstalled it and tried to download it again. When the windows live downloader comes up with the things that you can select to download it says that i have already downloaded windows messenger so it wont let me do it again.
When i search the computer for downloaded windows live messenger, it always comes up with two folders that wont let me into or to delete it. When i click on it it says that it refers to a location that is unavailable. and when i try to delete it it says it cant read from the file or disk.
I dont know what else to do, please help?

Start by removing Windows Live Messenger from any startup entry in Windows (that is in the registry and in your startup folder).

After that clear your Internet Browser's 'Downloaded Programs' and 'Temporary Files' (for MSIE, see Tools > Options).

Then reboot.

PS: what happens when you actually press 'install' in the installation wizard of Windows Live?

Nothing happens, it wont even let me click on it because apparently its already downloaded

Downloading and installing are two different things.
Can you make a screenshot of what you actually see.
