I have clicked on it and I’ve ignoredthe invitation but that notification keeps on coming even after I sign out of my MSN. When I sign back in I see that notification and when I click on it there’s no invite. Every time I click on the [x] to close the notification but it just keeps on coming back, even if there is no invite.
So how do I fix this problem? I’ve tried repairing the msn messenger but it still won’t go away. What is going on with it? How do I fix it?
RE: Why do I keep getting the "You have 1 invitation." notification on MSN?
1. Make sure you have no invitations on linked accounts.
2. Uninstall Windows Live Messenger
3. Delete all registry files related to WLM.
4. Install the latest version of WLM.

Didn't work for me unfortunately. I do have about 5 linked accounts, but I just went through them all and got rid of the invitations, but it's still there. And I've moved from Windows XP to a clean Windows 7 and it done it on both, so I think it's more likely a bug in the account.

Someone on some other forums contacted support and they said it's a bug in the program and it will be fixed in the next update.
I find this confusing because the number of invites is grabbed from the server is it not?
Evidently not as how OP said that when they sign in on one PC it shows up as having an invitation, but on another it doesn't
