Hey!

Unable to login with windows live messenger. Can logon using the web based messenger. Although, recieved the message:

'You are now signed in to 2 places. Messages will appear at all of there places'

I recieve the error code '80072f78' with the pop up 'We cant sign you in to windows live messenger'

Uninstalled and reinstalled messenger and also changed my password.

Messenger connection troubleshooter stops and indicates a fault with key ports. I switch off Windows firewall and use the basic inbuilt firewall in the wireless router. My McAfee firewall is also switched off and carried out an up to date virus scan - all clean

Any help please!

Looks like the problem is the firewall.

To fix the problem, simply uninstall it.

My suggestion would be to use MSE.

Found out my landlord installed a porn filter on the router which prevents MSN connection....thanks
