I download the lastest version as of 4.83.80 today. In the initial installtion windows, it shows tthis version as well. but after the installatiion is done and I open MSN with msg plus , in the msg plus help about windows, it shows 4.83.78.


Is this normal? Anyone else has this problem?

Confirmed.

First I autoupdated and it brought me to 4.83.0.378 (released February 14).

Then I manual updated from http://msgpluslive.net which kept the same version.

In any case, it shouldn't really make a difference.

Seems like Patchou forgot the change the version number internally. The file you download (either through auto-update or from the site) at this moment is a new version, because it was digitally signed yesterday (17th). And like you said setup shows as build 380, but not in the about box (where it still says 378).

That was actually compiled and released on February 15. The changelog states the wrong date.
