Perhaps a small disclaimer: most of the features in this first public beta should work fine, but not all of them are finished yet. Here are some remarks we'd like to make about this release:

• Window by Title isn't active yet.
  You can select a window from the list, but the Select button doesn't do anything as for now.
  
• Aero Glass may not be captured properly in the screenshots.
  Full Screen and Select Area screenshots can capture Glass, but window screenshots may have Aero Basic window borders and black toolbar backgrounds. This is because the script runs on GDI+ which has been available for many Windows versions and this library isn't fully up-to-date with the Aero renderings.
  
• The design is not final yet.
  Most of the design work has been spent in the Preferences window, but the preview window and the screenshots viewer window haven't received much treatment yet. Don't worry, we haven't forgotten about those.
  
• The Add/Edit Overlay panel isn't finished yet.
  The selected alignment isn't reflected in the preview and the tags used in the text show up as normal, unparsed codes instead of showing a real-time example of the tag value. We're not sure about this whole preview thing, we might fix it or replace it entirely with something else.
  Also, the selected contacts feature hasn't been implemented yet, that's why it's disabled.

We release this public beta so we can test our new code in many different situations and on different installations. It's still a beta version so we can't fully assure a smooth usage experience, but we're pretty confident that you won't encounter too much trouble. You had to wait a long time for this release, so we didn't want to delay a first beta much longer.

Wrong displays for each monitor(and black display for Monitor 1)

Monitor 1: Correct Resolution (Black Screen)
Monitor 2: Displaying 1680x1050 Monitor (Monitor 3 - Main)
Monitor 3: Displaying Monitor 1


1 - Left (1440x900)
2 - Middle (Main - 1680x1050)
3 - Right (1280x1024)

Opening the window again while the first instance is still open creates duplicates.

It works when you double click on the window name though...

do i simply install it? even if i had *cough* a previous version already?

Yes there have been changes made.

Bugs reported by SonicSam have been fixed and will be available in the next version.

I don't know if I'm doing something wrong but the option to screenshot by pointing to is not working for me (on my sister's laptop, windows vista, latest version of WLM and MP!L beta)

Could you provide us with some extra information? How exactly are you trying to use it? Does the script debugger say anything unusual?

After you select Point-Click-Capture from the script menu or send the /sspcc or /ssspcc command, you should just click on the window on the screen to capture it. (The mechanic behind it is a full-screen window with very low opacity being opened which captures the click position and then finds the window where the click was in.)

Is it possible to translate it in this phase?
