The original version wasn't just a Chat Logger... it also had boss protection among other features. It was also called Messenger Plus! the Windows Messenger Extension.

Also I wouldn't have said that it takes a while to configure....sure if you go through EVERY option then it does, but that's true of any software.  The initial configuration is VERY quick as a result of the after-install wizard.

Is it definitely an unedited version being distibuted?

Replaced indeed, by Game of the Month, Plus!Games, etc. Far less intrusive/annoying, true. But let's be realistic, Messenger Plus! is still an ad supported product.

True, but it's not ad-ware in the traditional sense.....you don't get any pop-ups, or any hi-jacks, etc....and it's totally optional

yep, and it's more 'intrusive' now (i dont have a better word ), considering that those buttons are enabled by default . So the statement is correct imho.

Also the list of supported languages is not correct/complete.
Funny thing is that their is a Dutch review too, listing more languages. All in all a positive review though, but the details of the review are missing/incorrect (eg: supported languages, what plus! was at the beginning, no word at all about skinning (which is one of its main features), etc...)

It's just one of the many reviews you'll find on the web about Plus!. Great to see other people loving it too, but the review isn't anything special or exceptional at all, on the contrary...

You didn't in the review itself though (the version number that is). Latest version is 5.01.706 for almost a month now
