ive got Messenger Plus 4.84.384 - the latest version & wlm 2009 (14.0.8089.726)

& every single time i try installling a skin i get this error - "the file you tried to load does not appear to be a valid messenger plus skin pack" - it opens in winzip, i can even extract all the files that way & ive re downloaded the file loads of times & it still gives me the same error!!!

the skin ive been trying is G.I joe v1.02 & Zero-G-3.0.2 & neither work, ive tried others too & they all, even the very latest skins, give the same error.

Sounds like either your files are getting corrupted during the download (unstable internet connection), or something on your system is modifying the files.

Do you have any anti virus or internet security software installed?

have you got exactly the same versions of both Messenger Plus & msn live ?
cos ive tried on 2 seperate pc's both with these versions of msn & neither work, i get the same error on both
