hi i have an annoying issue
when someone goes to add me i dont get the alert to accept
its ok if i add someone
just when they add me
and it means i always show up offline to them

Which version of Messenger are you using?
Check it by clicking Show menu, Help, About Messenger and note the Version build (XX.X.XXXX.XXXX) displayed there.

You can change your settings whether you would like to get notified via e-mail or Messenger when contacts add you to their network. Check the settings on this page:
