Hello folks,

today I'm going to release Messenger Plus! 3.01 and tomorrow, the auto-update will be enabled (it had not been enabled yet for version 3.00). As always, we can count on about 2 million additional installs during the week, and this will bring the usual "I didn't have an option not to install the sponsor during auto-update" threads. Please, be nice to these people, even if they write 10 lines of insults in caps. Don't worry, moderators are here to take care of this kind of post. If you reply, please reply politely and don't just say "search oin the forum", this is never a good answer.

Once again, I invite all the skeptics to wait for the auto-update or to trigger it yourself (by reinstalling Plus!2) to try it out and see for themselves that the auto-update is no different than a normal setup. Keep in mind that ten posts over 2 million installs is irrelevant, even if it looks awful on the forum .

Last note about posting on the forum: please, do not post only to say "it's Messenger Plus!, not MSN+". I know you.re doing that to inform people but that can often seem to be agressive and not very helpful. Feel free to say it if you post a reply, with some real help, but don't insist too much on this and add a smiley at the end of your line, it never hurts .

So you mean that, If I have 3.0 it wont auto update?? Meaning I have to download it again?

Erm.. He means that if you have 3.0 you need to wait one more day for the auto-update to activate and update your Plus!.
If you can't wait a day, then just download it manually.. Not that hard =)

Certianly will be, polite to them if they complain about there been no option. They often just missed it and went to fast and the vast ammount of people once told and do it again see what went wrong and say sorry

Actually its a good point, and nice to see you have taken some action. There are plenty of us who are guilty of losing our tempers with some of these people. Hopefully we will all just point them to the relevant threads, and post useful and accurate information. If they are jumping on the Plus bandwagon, we don't want them jumping straight off!!

And I'm looking forward to the new Plus release. Even if it's just a few bug fixes, "I'm loving it!"
