Is there a way that i can set up my computer to record all sound that goes through them? instead of having to put a microphone next
to 'em, that decreases quality

that depends on what sound card you have. For example, my SB Live has this option and I think that all SB newer than mine have it too (ie: audigy, extigy and so...).

The option I'm talking is this: You have to go to the "volume control" (<- i don't know it's exact english name, it's where you configure the volume of each input type (mic, midi, wav, ...) and also where you select the sound source (wether you want to record from the mic, from the cd, etc...)) Well, once you open it (hehe, i just remembered it's name: the mixer) you have to select a recording source. Try with "what u hear" (or similar name). Then you can use any recording program and all what it records will be taken from "all what you hear".

Asked before and answered in a VERY detailed way ( ) some time ago...

in short:
1) make sure you have a FULL DUPLEX soundcard (this means it can record and play at the same time; not all soundcards are full duplex!)
2) 2 ways of doing it:
* hardware-way: connect output to the input
* software-way: run duplex-software that records everything on your pc and streams that back

most of them are full duplex... as long as i know, all sound cards made since 1998 are FD, and there are also some FD cards made before that year.

I know, but i couldn't find another easy * way of doing it.

* -> I thought about the "hardware - way" but I think it's a bit complex, because you need special cables (well, not special at all, but not everyone has them) and also, what would happen with cards (like mine) with 2 outputs (front & rear) and only 1 input?
