I was just testing out the new MSG PLUS 3.4 BETA and i was updating my contact list with the new colour tags avaliable. *So far no crashing or problems* I noticed that most of the colours are very bright. So while I was doing this I thoght "would'nt it be nice to be able to change the contact list backgorund colour . That way you could have nice contrast and balance between your contacts and the backgound. Any one else agree?

lvback.gif was does not work in MSN 7, but it was done by dreating a gif file for your background and putting it in the MSN Messenger folder.
umm yes it does work :/
all you have to do is place a gif file in your msn messenger directory and rename it to lvback.gif
Then close your messenger main window and reopen it and the image will appear in the bottom right hand corner of the window
Hey thanx for the info guys. And yes i know its version 3.40 it was just a typo . im gonna try out the new background colour now!
but dont you think it would still be a nice feature in the new plus?Hey, I added my own Background Thanx everyone. Here's what it turned out as. I think it looks amazing .
To change your Background just open Microsoft Paint and create a BIG image and paint the whole thing any colour you desire for your background and then save it as a GIF! and close paint. then open your windows exploer and locate the coloured gif and cut and paste it into your msn messenger directory "C:/program files/msn messenger" and then when its there rename the file *lvback* then close and re open your contact list to reveal your new background
you can also add images just simply put any gif image in the msn directory and name it lvback
