i keep getting an error whenever i try to setup KSMAS



EDIT: It Won't Let Mt Proceed With Setting It Up.

there being several errors in some KSMAS, but KeyStorm will release CBC (Chameleon Board Companion) wich is best than KSMAS

When I get it done

I think u have to change some rights that u have given to the folder. I suggest that u should chmod it to "755" Then try it. Or try changing ur host if u can

Ok.
If ur using an ftp client then goto the folder in which the installer.php is there and then right click on the folder to open the folders properties and not the installers properties.
In the folder properties u'll see a couple of ticks. Just goto the spage given for typing (Chmod will be written beside it) and type 755 there.

If ur using ur hosts control panel then do the same. Select the folder and then click on the properties button and then do the same thing again.

I hope u understood. If not then ask again i'll explain in greater detail.
If the installer file is in your base folder (Like if ur address is http://www.abcd.com and the file is in that folder itself) and if the above process aint working then make a folder by anyname except KSMAS (preferably to avoid confusion) and then do the above process and then run the installer.
Still not working then redownload KSMAS from a different server (I can mail one to u later if u want but that'll happen tomorrow only. Pm me ur email id in that case)
If its still not working the do this (J/k) and wait for KeyStorm to release the next version which will be called Chamaleon Board Companion (CBC)

John, it still won't work, maybe. If there was an error with the permissions, an explicit error would be displayed during the installation. But he's probably getting 500 (internal server errors), since something is avoiding (from outside php) to do the things the installer does (namely creating files and/or folders). CBC will not need to create any file, everything will have to be uploaded at once to the server. Only one file will need to be edited, for which CBC will try to: 1st) edit the file itself, 2nd) offer the edited file for downloading so that the user may upload it to the place it belongs, 3rd) show the text that should go into that file and tell the user to edit it putting that information.

So hopefully no more weird permission/server errors

i got it working, but i am havin trouble making 2 accounts, one for my avatars nad 1 for my signatures

and it constatly asks me to enter my username and password, but when i do, nothing happens.
