I have a really annoying problem with the latest versions of MSN and Plus. It has happened ever since I installed 7.0 and I haven't found a way around it yet.

The problem is that when I sign into MSN 7.0 after about 2 seconds it just freezes up, I've noticed it never loads all the Alert tabs to the left and the 1/1000 times it has loaded all the Alert tabs to the left it has worked so I think it might be an Alert tabs problem. When I bring up task manager MSN is not responding. I have reinstalled MSN 7.0 and downloaded the newest Plus version but still I can't get it to work.

I personally would suggest you to try installing MSN Messenger wuthout Plus! once, if you're still experiencing problems, that means the problems comes from your MSN Messenger, in that case I'd suggest you to downgrade to another MSN Messenger version, usually the 6.2 does the trick. Now if Msn Messenger 7 does work without Plus! then I think the best thing to do will be to contact Patchou, maybe with your OS and all other useful infos

Do you have any plugins installed? eg SPNG?

Okey, I uninstalled both MSN and Plus and then reinstalled 7.0 only but that didn't stop the problem, I went thru regedit and made a "DisableTabs" entry but that didn't stop it from freezing either. I will just reinstall 6.2 again.

Wait up, if you have any plugins installed, uninstall them or disable them if you can get into the Plus! preferences. They might be cause msn messenger 7 to pause.

At one point I had StuffPlug installed but I uninstalled that a while ago.
Btw, after downloading and installing 6.2 it says I have to update my MSN to the newest version, bleh!

Did you download MSN Messenger 6.2 from Microsoft? There was a new update for msn messenger 6.2 in last tuesday's monthly update. It fixed some minor security flaws in 6.2 so users can still safetly use it.
