O.P. Huh?  "Notifications" and "Sound Events" features not working properly
I want Plus! to play an mp3 song each time one of my contacts sign in (comes online). I tested this both by setting this feature with "Notifications" and "Sound Events" and following the popup window directions. and with another of my identities. The mp3 song starts playing, but it only plays for about 5 seconds, it does not play the full song. Is this wrong or should it play the full song? Thanks.

It's actually 12 seconds. You can change this value by adding/modifying the following registry:

Key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Patchou\MsgPlus2\your@email.com\Preferences -> ContactSoundMaxTime (DWORD)

Description:
When you associate a sound to contact sign-in or sign-out, it is played 12 seconds by default. You can use this parameter to decrease or increase this time between 1 and 100 seconds.

In case you don't know how to edit your registry: Click Start, select Run, type regedit in "Run" window, and click OK ;)

Mnjul, I went to the registry line "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Patchou\MsgPlus2\your@email.com\Preferences", but in the right pane I don't see any  "ContactSoundMaxTime " key listed.

Well, I said adding/modifying the registry, didn't I? Just add the registry value by yourself ;)

oops, yes, sorry, I added it and now it works ok. Sorryyyy.
One more question, it seems there are two ways for starting a song play once a certain contact comes online, one is thru "Sound events..." and the other is thru "Notifications...". What is the difference between them and which one should I use? Thanks.
