Ok so my family computer is a crappy Dell my dad bought a while ago. And it was so as poo, until I restored it. But now it only turns on when it is on its side And when ever we have it on its side, my modem doesn't work on it... I took it to [MR]'s house and his modem worked fine on it, and we got SP2 on it. Any suggestions on why it isn't turning on

In that case, I'd advise taking the computer to a computer shop to see if they can repair it.

[MR] and I have already taken a look in side to check for any lose IDE cables and such. All the PCI cards are in perfect and the motherboard doesnt show damage from looking at it.
