Well... I just got an invite for WLM from Sean... I like it a lot... thanks again... But here's my question.

The beta only works for the registered e-mail addy right?


And if that's true... Is there a way to have MSN 7.5 on here as well?... I share the computer, and my brothers still might want to use MSN occasionally.

I'm pretty sure there is right? by downloading them into two different folders or something? I tried searching on the forums, but it was stupid cause I couldn't search the word two because it was less than four letters.


Step by step guide would be nice ... Thanks!

rename your MSN Messenger Folder to say (MSNMessenger7.5) .. this was discussed  not long ago in another thread.

Try this:
1. Install MSN Messenger 7.5 (If you already have it installed you don’t need to)

2. Rename the MSN Messenger folder to MSN Messenger 2 (usually located in C:\Program Files\)

3. Install Windows Live Messenger.

4. Apply a polygamy patch A-Patch to both Messengers, or to the one you plan to open second.

5. Then change all the paths of the shortcuts to MSNM 7.5 to C:\Program Files\MSN Messenger 2\msnmsgr.exe.

That is exactly what is said in that thread (and already many other threads for that matter)... Please do not repeat things if such things are already explained in great detail and even linked to (otherwise this thread will become again just the same with all the same questions and stuff).

It didn't work for me right away either... Make sure you install MSN Messenger 7.5 first... then change the name... and then install WLM. And right now I can only have both open if 7.5 is open first... Otherwise when WLM is open, and I try to open 7.5 at the same time, it just brings WLM to the front.
