Well, i'm using the fresh new Live Plus Messenger 4.0. and the only thing i miss, is the damn personalised nick.
Ok, i know " Windows live messenger itself, has a feature to change your contacts nickname to whatever you like". But i say to you:
When you have a group of people in the same window (tabs), if you look to the tabs....they don't have the nick you choose. they have the nicks that ppl are using. In the last PLUS version, we had an option to change nick.... in ALL places

I miss it too

unfortunately it is impossible at this moment to display your contacts first and last name/ nickname on tabs.

we as beta testers miss that too

is there anyway in the future, to change that? or it's impossible to code?

I beleive Patchou said he may consider doing it IF there's enough demand and MS doesn't improve their homegrown version of it. Eitehr way, we need to wait, either for a new version of Messenger Plus Live, or for a new version of WLM to see if the developer team at MS improves on their work.

For the record, I want the feature back myself

AH, I thought i was the only one!

That's my most heavily used feature (besides destop contacts), that I'm able to colour code my contacts in my list, and have them appear so, in the tabs and desktop.

I do hope this returns - I miss it!!

you can add formatting to nicknames in WLM too, just use BBCodes like [c=4]name[/c])

Although the colour codes aren't as flexible as the ones in the original Plus feature, they're doable for now. The major issue some peopel have at the moment is the lack of the tags for a contacts name and e-mail
