O.P. Event Viewer: Not logging activites of all users
Hi there,

I'm not able to see the "status change" activities of my contacts in my Event Viewer. I've enabled Event Logging for all contacts already. Please help me if anybody knows how to configure this feature. I'm using the latest version of MSN Messenger with Messenger Plus! Live.

I've enabled the "Save Logs to a File option"! The previous version of Plus! used to show all status and personal message changes of all users. This one doesn't show even my status changes! I'm sure I'm not configuring some part correctly. Please help.

Cheers

coolpal

MSN Messenger? Or do you mean Windows Live Messenger? Messenger Plus! Live doesn't work with MSN Messenger.

And also, by logs, what logs do you mean? Chat logs or Event logs?

Also, what event-viewer-related things did you select?

I'm using Windows Live Messenger with Plus! Live. By the logs, I mean Event Viewer Logs, which record status changes and personal message changes of my contacts.

In the previous version, I could open Event Viewer from the Plus! menu, or click the icon on the Windows Messenger, and see the status changes of my contacts with time. I'm unable to do so now.

Following are the settings I've done on my Messenger Plus!:

1. In the Messenger>Event Logger menu, I've chosen: "Show Event Viewer", and in the "Logged Events can be restricted by contacts", I've selected all my contacts.

2. In the "File Options", I've selected "Record all my Messenger Events to a File" i.e. in a XML file.

I hope I've made my part clear :) Please help me in setting this right.

Cheers!

Please expand on that.

Also, what is the number that you selected for the Maximum number of events to keep in the window?

Thanks for the reply buddy :)

What I meant by that in short is that I could see the status change activities of my contacts in Event Viewer, but now I'm unable to see it.

I've selected 500 as the "maximum number of events to show in the window".

I just want to see when my contacts went online or offline, and their personal message changes, which I'm not able to do.

Hope to get a solution

Thanks in advance
