Heres my contribution...
I remember what you said about wanting something that was instantly recognisable, so I wanted to be a little diffrent, hope you like:

Edit: HAHAHA, its the same font as my sig! If you want in a diffrent font, get at me!

thats not really a logo, more of a banner 
also, its not really my colours, purple and blue... |

Isn'tthat a banner though as well really? A logo is usually a small symbol rather than a wide picture and the text would usually be smaller... I like it though
