O.P. Custom emoticon sounds
Ok, I've just recently downloaded Live Messenger Plus!, so I'm quite new to some of the features and have no doubt been annoying people with some of them already!:P

I know with the inbuilt emoticon sounds, it adds an emoticon when it plays the sent sound. I cannot get it to do this with custom sounds, it will only play the sound. I've tried adding an emoticon before and after playing the sound through the command function by typing "/sound [soundname]" but that doesn't work either.

Is there anyway to get a custom sound to be sent with an emoticon?

'Fraid not. The best you can get is two messages together.

RE: Custom emoticon sounds
Please see existing threads. eg:
quicktekst
Custom Id#?
Sounds and Text
Integrated Sound Creator ?
etc...

always search forums before posting a question. In this case a search with "/sound" would be sufficient)

quote:
No. Custom sounds (/sound) and the build-in sounds (eg: /sbye) work in a different way. For custom sounds the current lines shown in a conversation need to be there in order for Plus! to reconize them as a custom sound. So changing those lines (eg: to include custom text) will actually 'corrupt' the proper workings of custom sounds.

What you can do however is sending the alternative text before or after you send the custom sound. This can be combined and done in a quicktext for example.
