O.P. Suggestion! Contact List Subgroups..
Hii, first of all, i'm new here, so hello!

Well, we know messenger has the option of Grouping contacts. Would it be possible to make subgroups within the groups?

And then would that work when messenger is set to "sort contacts by status? (Online/Offline/Mobile)"

'cause it'd be cool if people could sort their contacts while still having them under online/offline/mobile

anyway thanks for reading andd i hope i made sense :)

Not possible.

Though you can rename/create groups like:

Friends - School
Friends - Internet
Family - Dad's side
Family - Mom's side
etc...

Seperating offline/online/mobile contacts in their own subgroups of your own groups is not possible. But when you sort in groups, the contacts who are online will automatically be put on top of the offline contacts already.

Though, together with sorting by groups, you could enable 'group offline contacts together', and/or 'group mobile contacts together', and/or 'group non-instant messaging contacts together'. These options will add an extra group to your existing groups and will add offline, mobile and/or non-IM contacts in those respective groups.
