Use the format codes in your PSM? If its possible?

So like when you make your psm bold you see it bold instead of seeing the format code.

And make it so editing your name is like editing your PSM like StuffPlug did.

Just some suggestions

If you add yourself to your contact list, you can see the bold/italic/underlines/colors.
But yeah, I agree this would be good.

I already have lol but its just more conveniant and yeah The PSM Name thing liek StuffPlug did

Msg. Plus! can not make colours etc. show where messenger itself does not allow it. This does not mean you can't use the codes there tho, as said it does show in the contact list.

So how does it display them in your Display Name? After all messenger would not allow the MsgPlus format codes by default because you need to downloa Messenger Plus in order to use them?

It isn't that the PSM doesn't allow the formatting it is as simple as this. It is a limitation. The colour codes are processed properly on the receiving end. However it would be alot of work for Patchou to readd the formatting characters every time you want to change your PSM. It is much simpler to show the formatting characters.

it's mainly because you can edit your PSM directly in the contact list. If I remove the codes, you won't be able to edit them when editing the psm.

I'll see if I can do something more "intelligent" than that.

Well, if you can detect where the PSM has been clicked on, you can make it stop colouring it, and bring back the codes. Surely?

Also if you can, please make the "Format Codes..." button in the Messenger Options can be used also for Personal Message line. You can do it simply like that; where the cursor blinks, the format button adds the codes to that line: Display Name or Personal Message. So people will also notice that PSMs can also be colorized with Messenger Plus! (I think 50% of Messenger Plus! users don't know it). Though, Messenger Plus! commands for editing both of them are the better ways for multi-formatted names and PSMs.
