Hi guys, i hope you can help me.
Debugging windows beginning to be annoying... when WLM starts, Debugging windows appears automatically in foreground   (only in Messenger Plus! Live 4.23.0.276)

*debugging options: enabled
*it always happens when at least one wlm account activates the debugging option
* Windows XP Service Pack 2 (5.1.2600)
* Windows Live Messenger 8.5.0816


i've asked in the spanish forum but i haven't solved my problem (Mandorallen told me to ask here for help =P)

Make sure you close the debugging window before you exit WLMessenger. Whichever windows (exept conversation windows and preferences) you had open at time of closing will be opened when you restart.

If it's only the "on top" part you want rid off and not the opening of the debug window itself make sure "Always on top" isn't checked in the debug window (under the debug button).

It may be a script which sets Debug.DebuggingWindowVisible to true. That way, when script debugging is enabled and the script is started, it'll open the debugger.

Thanks for your answer Sunshine, i tried as you told me but Debugging windows continues appears automatically in foreground.

i don't like the idea about disabling the Debugging windows before exiting WLM     T.T

all scripts are disabled.

hum... so the problem is what: that the debugging window is displayed or that it gets the focus when you'd expect it not to?

I have experienced this too. If the debug window is open when messenger closes, it will start and give focus as soon as messenger starts again.

Other note about the debug window. If it is open, or if a script interface window is open when messenger closes, the window may stay open after closing messenger, or be frozen and only show in the taskbar. Only killing msnmsgr.exe from the task manager gets rid of them. happens maybe 40% of the time, if debug and/or script windows are open
