O.P. Animated display pictures
Are you allowed to make your own animated gif and put it as a display picture? Will it animate?

Yes, as long as you are using Windows Live Messenger 2009

It will animate properly

Users of WLM 8.5 will only see the first frame of the GIF as your display picture

just another question... the gif animation i have isn't smooth when i look at it on wlm 09... anyone know why

if not then it's ok

I have a .gif animation, but when i select it to use it as a Display Picture it says: This is not a valid image, please select another image.

Anybody knows what's up?


Edit: I know what it was. The maximum kb is 200, mine was waaay bigger lol.
