Since windows live messenger recently released a new version i have been unable to log in. So, i uninstalled the program and tried downloading it again. When i downloaded the .exe file, saved it to the desktop and then click on it i get this error - it is not a valid win32 application. Any idea what is wrong?

Also, why has it not worked since the recent version was released (for me)? It told me that i could not log in until i had downloaded the new version, so i clicked on 'Yes' but it wouldnt download it, i was told to visit the homepage - but i cant find a troubleshooting page or a help section.
