file size shows chats are being logged.
but
nothing shows up in viewer, , tried many different contacts, tried HTML and txt format, and tried uninstalling reinstalling live messenger and Messenger Plus numerous times, tried encrypted and unencrypted logging

Chat logs still blank no matter what.
I think it's an issue with a microsoft .net framework thing? (but i've gotten all the updates related to that)  or some similar update that I don't have.
What does the Messenger Plus chat log viewer need in terms of microsoft packages to display correctly?

I don't know exactly what is needed in terms of redistributables, but what happens when you open a HTML chat log directly in Microsoft Internet Explorer?

I don't use or have internet explorer. I use firefox, and for unencrypted HTML log files, firefox works fine


can the problem reside in the fact that I don't have IE?

PROBLEM SOLVED.

I needed IE absolutely. Everything is displaying correctly now....now I'm going to check if in flightsimulator the problem has been fixed also

btw:
You indeed sure do need Internet Explorer to be installed.
A lot of functions from Windows are based on the MSIE libraries and APIs
Removing MSIE will cripple a lot of internet related stuff on your computer, not only from Windows, but from many other programs too.
