I'm thinking of purchasing Visual Basic .Net Std 2003, as I've used Visual Basic before but the correct version I've got isn't completely XP compatibly, and I think the new features will be useful. I'd also noticed AOL IM had an API for communic...

RE: Reasons for Using Alternate Browsers
IE is most commonly used (I use it), but it's mainly because it comes with all Windows PCs (and is hard to remove), compatibility (most websites are designed to function and display best with IE), and ease of use (it browses the web, but hasn't go...

RE: Change the browser
I highly recommend against trying to uninstall Internet Explorer, some files are used in many (usually Microsoft) applications, including some other web browser. For example: MyIE uses the Internet Explorer core I believe.

RE: (Leaked) MSN Messenger 6.2.0133 was never updated
Could it possibly have been another file that was changed (not the main msnmsgr.exe file)? If another file was updated the MSN Messenger's build number may not have increased. Possibly something in the installer for setting up the MSN Toolbar / Sea...

RE: Profile Patch
I've applied the patch, and noticed the links to the MSN members, via the search link still directs you to the UK site. Just a minor porblem, but what part of the msgslang.dll needs changing for this? Thanks

RE: Name
See 'Contact List' in the Plus! preferences window to change the transparency effects of MSN (or use the nVidia controls if you have an nVidia card).

RE: Profile Patch
Does anyone know when or if the UK public profiles will be back up? I'd prefer not to change my MSN language file to US if it will back online soon.

RE: true or false? 500 contacts! MSN7
The actual bandwidth used by just msn conversation is quite small, but talking to anywhere near that amount would drain system resources hugely. Most systems just wouldn't be able to cope with that.

RE: Microsoft appear to have done more 'maintenance'
Maybe that could be a new idea for the next version of Plus, to change the username just after you sign in.

RE: [split] Mac debate
Macs would be very good, but it's the compatibility they lack. The majority of software (made by MS anyway) is for Windows, as they want you to use Windows.
