RE: Petition to save Messenger Plus!
Right, because childish attitudes like your suggested revenge are the best alternative for solving misunderstandings with a Microsoft division. *-)

RE: Petition to save Messenger Plus!
Sorry to interrupt with such a picky subtlety but... is there a reason to call them M$$ or M$ or whatever? It's a company, it's thousands of people, it's called Microsoft, or abbreviate it MS. If we want to be heard like civilized people we should...

RE: Icon Creator
IconPackager is not an icon creator at all, it's just a program to change system icons... IconWorkshop (and IconDeveloper I presume) are professional icon creation tools.

RE: msgplus NEWS
Exactly, no need for a link to a particular website in an instant messaging window. Program launcher software exists for that... Be it msn chat, be it Msghelp.net, whatever... no need for the clutter and no sense for a predefined command :-/

RE: Airplane landing in Pearson airport in Toronto, Canada goes over edge of runway.
Something similar happened here some years ago... although it was when taking off, and unfortunately there were several deaths... what happened was... the plane accelerated, but never took off. It passed the runway and crossed a car highway JUST as t...

RE: Windows Vista
As Kryptonate said, it was codenamed Whistler. This is the first time Longhorn is used :\

I'm pretty sure he does love it. I can see a few $100 bills flowing from Microsoft's campus to his office.

RE: Windows Vista
Hmm since the meaning of Vista is also pretty much the same in English, Italian, and other languages, I doubt they actually put Latin America as a priority for naming the next version of Longhorn.

RE: Windows Vista
You can bet that they did their homework and chose a "marketing-crap" name instead of a technical name because it's the best for them. They're not appealing to the developer with their OS brand names, they're hunting customers.

RE: Windows Vista
.Net was announced over 5 years ago, the name being used since in many of Microsoft products. The name Longhorn has been used for around 3 years for an OS that has been trashed by certain sectors of the press and it's been a name used to publicly ri...

RE: Windows Vista
Hmm actually, you can bet they'll market it the other way around. Longhorn is the "vista" you want to see, something new, something "revolutionary" that's coming from the horizon to replace old, ancient windows versions (i.e. xp). Not that that...

RE: Windows Vista
Or maybe not :P I don't see them naming it Longhorn, despite all the hype the name has. 1st, don't forget Vista has a meaning in LOTS of languages. Longhorn only means something in English, and it's already pretty ridiculous to compare an OS with...

RE: Windows Vista
I like Vista, actually... as mentioned all over the web, remember how you reacted to "XP" the first time you heard it? Could be better, could be worse. It's a name after all, and we'll forget about it once we get used to name it like that.

RE: Messenger Plus! is going to Redmond
Where does Mess.be imply that Patchou's talks with MSN had anything to do with Messenger 7.5 anyway? They mention in the same post both that Patchou goes to Redmond AND that a Messenger 7.5 will be out to testers soon , but IIRC they never related t...

If the arrows are for scrolling the tabs horizontally, what's the purpose of having tabs? :-/ You won't notice when someone sends you a message if it's past the scroll line because the tab will not flash, and you won't be able to see all your co...

RE: sound server going a little bonkers
I'm having the same problem guys, and it's not a permanent issue like those discussed in the threads mezzanine mentioned. It seems to be a random problem (like 6 every 10 times I send a sound, the sound is never sent and after 10 or 15 seconds all ...
