RE: Unable to delete registry key
Thanks Thor. I finally solved the issue by using RegDelNull. The "version" subkey contained embedded-null characters and that's why I was unable to delete it using regedit. But RegDelNull deleted it as explained here: http://technet.microsoft.com/...

RE: Windows 7 with XP look?
I think that the Windows XP GUI is much simpler, leaner, resource saving than Vista/7. I always use the XP Classic GUI. I was asking about the GUI only, no doubt that Vista or 7 are more advanced, superior OS's than XP.

RE: PC powers off
Good news! The PC has been running smoothly for 24 hours with no shutdowns. Furthermore, I installed HWMonitor and CPU Burn-in and ran the CPU at 100% usage for 30 minutes and everything stable. Before the Burn-in the CPU temp showed 45 degrees celsi...

RE: PC powers off
Menthix, the PC forcefully shuts down (screen goes black) with no BSOD. I just finished cleaning the internal parts of the PC, there was dirt beyond imagination, to the point of clogging all fans (CPU and case fans). After cleaning everything, I ra...

RE: Any news on messpatch or apatch for WLM9?
Yes, that's why I mentioned the "lite" version of apatch, which only offers few features. I was asking for the full featured version, yet unreleased.

RE: Best encryption algorithm?
What if you forget/lose the access password? I guess then you'll be unable to retrieve your stored logins.

RE: Trying to identify a device in Device Manager

Trying to identify a device in Device Manager

Best encryption algorithm?
When I go to Roboform's options, under Security you can choose among the following encryption algorithms: -DES -3DES -AES -Blowfish -RC6 By default it's set to AES. Is this the safest one? If not, which one? Thanks

One single partition or two?
My system drive is a 500Gb with a single partition with 249Gb free space. Would I be better off (faster performance) creating a 2nd partition for files (music, pictures, etc), thus reducing the system allocated space to say 100Gb? Thanks.

RE: How to stealth port 1030?
Windows Firewall will stealth all ports only if turned on simultaneously with NIS2008. If used alone it won't, but I read it's not recommended to have two firewalls used at the same time.
