the encrypted strings are a lot longer than the original ones, maybe you can make it so that if the encrypted string is too long it will be sent in parts so you don't have to bother about the length of the message?

the only improvement would be that it would use caps in one chat and not in another without having to press caps each time, but if you want to irritate people with typing only capitals, you should take the effort to press caps each time ;)

I haven't tested, but couldn't you make a shortcut in your C:\Program Files\MSN Messenger\ folder pointing to %HOMEPATH%\lvback.gif so it loads a different background for each [s]contact[/s] windows account?
