RE: Closing a chat window
Interop.Call('user32','SendMessag eW',ChatWnd.Handle,0x10 /* WM_CLOSE */,0,0);
That should do it :)

RE: B-day gift help .. skinning msn 2009
I'm not too sure about the graphics part, but I have noticed the definition replacement is wrong, it should be:
<Windows> >>><Definitions><<< >>><Definition Id="1001"><<< <File>1001.txt</File> </Definition> >>></Definitions><<< </Window...

RE: Disabling a button?
Thanks :P I had no idea those kinds of functions worked on controls as well.

RE: how to figure out who is blocking or have deleted your account on msn?
There is absolutely no way to know who has blocked you. There never will be. As for being deleted, there is a feature in Messenger that shows you who has you on their contact list, in the Privacy tab.

Disabling a button?
Well, I've looked around in the docs and it seems there is no property to enable/disable a button in a PlusWnd, but I thought it must be possible using SendControlMessage() or even Interop.Call(). I tried the former, using the message 0xA (WM_ENABLE...

RE: Lag/Freezing
Well, if you say so :P I'd normally only get rid of a HDD if I heard unusual noises coming from it or they stop booting (I still have two of them, a WD 60GB and some old IBM one that's about 10GB). Anyway, you might want to also use [url=www.cclea...

RE: Lag/Freezing
I doubt it'd be as serious as needing a new HD ^o) But yes, you should probably try defragmenting.

RE: pop ups?
You can uninstall the Messenger Plus! Live sponsor by clicking Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs -> Messenger Plus! Live -> Remove Sponsor. The sponsor is not a virus, it is simply adware that will popup windows whenever you browse the internet. I...

RE: Email address only in contact list
When your contacts show up as emails this means that they have no name set (so a person with an email of jsmith@example.com would be called John Smith) as your Messenger client has not had them sign in before and thus no information has been sent yet...

RE: Need some graphics!
I'll have a go, but if it needs rounded rectangles, you might need someone else :P Paint.NET isn't too good with that :dodgy:

RE: Idea For A Script/Request
I assumed that the OP was thinking of something resembling Vista's thumbnail previews; I didn't think by scripting alone (MsgPlus.DisplayToast() etc.) it would be possible to embed a video control onto a toast window. The next best thing, then, wo...

RE: Idea For A Script/Request
I don't think it's possible, as the way Messenger Plus!'s interface is designed probably would not allow for video controls on toast windows. Besides which, it would be too small for you to see properly anyway, so it'd be a bit useless even if it...

RE: WLM Isnt Working Error Code: 800706ba
Like the error message says, the service is temporarily unavailable. You just have to wait a bit for it to come back up. The error code appears to be some sort of RPC timeout error, I guess some of the Messenger servers are down or under maintenance ...

RE: [release] Status Icon Version 1.02
I've gotten it to work properly here by cleaning it up a bit. There were several problems with it, but the one you're probably all experiencing was that it wasn't in DOS\Windows format. EDIT: Alright then :)

RE: Buggy personalized status?
Can't reproduce this, personalised statuses seem to work fine here. Windows XP Service Pack 3 (5.1.2600) Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 1 (6.0.6001) Windows Live Messenger 14.0.0206 Messenger Plus! Live 4.81.0.358

RE: See what people are typing???
No, he's right. If this were possible, there would be so many issues with it, eg. privacy. If someone types something and then decides not to send it, for whatever reason, it's their choice. Yes, there might be a way via a scripting but it would b...

RE: requesting help with scripts. to do with quicktext.
Perhaps, but you'd need to know how to reverse-engineer an application or something, I'm not an expert on these sorts of things. But it's highly unlikely that Patchou will change this, again, because StuffPlug is no more and hence there is no need...

RE: requesting help with scripts. to do with quicktext.
I don't think it will ever be possible as the 1100 character limit is hard-coded into Plus!, and cannot be changed using a script. There is only so much that scripts can do, just as any other programming language is limited (albeit some not so much)...

RE: requesting help with scripts. to do with quicktext.
Then it's probably a problem with Messenger Plus! Live itself; it can't detect whether the limit has been increased to 5000 characters, so it doesn't let you do this. Seeing as this is most likely the case, there's not much you can do about it, a...

RE: requesting help with scripts. to do with quicktext.
IIRC, StuffPlug doesn't automatically lift the character limit on a fresh install; you need to check the option to do this. btw, StuffPlug has been discontinued as of WLM2009.

RE: POP-UP WINDOW ON THE RIGHT SCRIPT
The location and direction of the toasts cannot be changed using a script. It may be possible to do it via hex editing the Messenger executable itself, but as far as scripting goes it isn't possible; there are limits to what you can do with it.

RE: [HELP] searchbar
To remove or change the location of the wordwheel, it's still in the same 1001 uifiles. For anything else relating to it, I think it's in 1002. There may be other uifiles as well.

RE: Changing window color?
No, not anymore. What your conversation windows now look like is up to your contacts, I'm afraid. I don't particularly like this feature, as it has some privacy issues and other things as well.

RE: Changing window color?
Just a little note, that version of Windows Live Messenger is either 8.0 or 8.1 and therefore isn't the "latest" version; however the next version after it still had it, but up in the top right corner. Anyway, the newest version 14 has removed cus...
