RE: Firefox 3 - Download Day 2008
But I use all three! Which was why it was annoying because I then had to go out and manually hunt down the Linux and Mac versions...

RE: Firefox 3 - Download Day 2008
No. Only complete downloads are counted. Automatic updates from previous versions don't count also. How is it lame :P I've been banging on to everyone I know all day to download it. Everyone now thinks I'm a stupid nerd and they couldn't really ...

RE: Firefox 3 - Download Day 2008
I think Menthix meant the actual Download Day event - in Australia time's up at 6:16pm. That's hardly a full day at all! It started at 3am here too...But in the US it started at 11:16am. How convenient. EDIT: Yeah I was right.

RE: the best city to live
It's a dream, not something realistic. But I'd have some sort of delivery service or something. Or maybe something like Lost. :P Just have a massive package of food drop outside my house every so often.

RE: the best city to live
Why not? I would LOVE to have a nice little house (not shack though) in the middle of a rainforrest and somehow I have all the electricity food water whatever I'll ever need to survive. I love rainforrests. :) and waterfalls

RE: What Kind of Laptop is best?
Why does it just say Compaq instead of HP? Anyway I like Compaq and HP, and everyone else I know seems to have a HP/Compaq computer too. We're all pretty satisfied. Pretty much all of the choices in the poll are good except Dell.

Excellent thanks Cookie. Personally I'm not going to use it, but it's always good to know to help out someone who might.

RE: [split] Microsoft rant
With the way of limiting how much RAM windows can use, was this referring to /MAXMEM being put in the boot.ini file (or something similiar for Vista). And if so - does this limit how much memory Windows thinks it has? Or does it actually limit how m...

They don't suck. They just need to do better. (going back to office 2007 here) today I found out I can save my own custom templates for text boxes. How cool is that! I would say that Office 2007 could be Microsoft's best designed product yet! (howe...

RE: who's apeering offline?

Unless you actually knew the IP of each of your contacts that would be pretty useless IMO. Unless you wanna play dirty and break into their computer just to find out who it was. ^o)
