A new and improved version of Microsoft's popular instant messaging client has been released today. It seems the official release marked for a weeks time has either been put forward to now or this build has been released by mistake.

MSN 9 is due to start beta testing in as little as a months time. And it's rumoured MSN 9 will contain MSN Messenger 6.1 which could have functions locked only to MSN 9 subscribers with the new premium and plus services being created.

This version is still compatible with Messenger Plus! and an ad-patcher will follow for those who don't use Messenger Plus!.

Either way it's a new build and will likely be close to or the build that is released officially within the week. Enjoy.

MSN 9? they havent fully released MSN 6 Out And There Going To MSN9?

MSN 9 is MSN Explorer version 9 its been leaked before, obviously a beta.

@ zappy004: I'm not too sure whats different, but hey, if they release a new update, download it, there may be a huge bug in the old version, who knows.

MSN 9 = msn explorer
MSN 8= special version of msn explorer with special features, has to be paid for. msn 9 is an update from that

The difference between the old version of msn6 (6.0.0503) and the new(6.0.0602)?

Hey EvilSeph, edit your link it says 6.0.0503, and it's supposed to be for the 6.0.0604

yea thats what i meant

hm, mine says it is 6.0.0602 and I don't think it is the final version, the games can't be activated.

I know final - meaning not beta . we'l I installed the english version of msn6.0.0602 and no games allowed. but msn did changed my country to 'nl - be'. . and changing it into en - us didn't really helped

remove your configcache.xml change it via passport.com and then sign into msn

In my net passport still stands Netherlands - The Hague, and i changed nl-nl to en-us in config cache long ago, since than i had like at least 2 updates of MSN 6 and games DO work

Well, the games worked before, but they don't do now, not even by changing the configcache.xml

are you sure you're modifying the right .xml, i mean wich such a lots of folders with random numbers.......

Can't seem to get MSN Messenger 6 Build 6.0.0604, someones lying it doesn't exist.

6.0.0602 is the newest!!!

Games are now enabled internationally. Just make sure to restart MSN Messenger.
(at least here in the Netherlands)

Also, I got build 602 some hours ago.

I can't use the games either

any diff between the preview version and the final version??

only bugs are fixed and when u press on show more emoticons it leads u to this page
