BrowseWeb Plug-in (includes installer) by zigomar10 on 08-01-2003 at 05:09 PM

I made plug-in in which you can browse the web with your contact!
Commands:
- /xbenable (enables remote browsing)
- /xbdisable (disables remote browsing)
- /xbchkmy (checks your status of remote browsing)
- /xbchkcontact (checks your contact's status of remote browsing- if your contact doesn't have BrowseWeb, you will get no reply from him)
- /xbrowser <URL> (opens YOUR browser)
- /xnewurl <URL> (opens your and your CONTACT'S browser)

RE: BrowseWeb Plug-in (includes installer) by Mr_Q on 08-02-2003 at 05:38 PM

Hmm Should be nice.. I'll try it..

RE: BrowseWeb Plug-in (includes installer) by zigomar10 on 08-02-2003 at 05:51 PM

i'll make a new version soon, it will probably include favorites (you'll be able to use tags to call them), a (!XPREVIOUSURL) tag, a new installer and more...

RE: BrowseWeb Plug-in (includes installer) by Sypher on 10-01-2003 at 12:08 PM

Too bad this topic is not very 'crowded'
Well I try it, it looks exciting :)

RE: BrowseWeb Plug-in (includes installer) by Sypher on 10-01-2003 at 12:10 PM

Ok, I've tested but you can't chat if you are 'browsing' :(

edit: Too bad you can't type with no one! I could only surf, nothing more :(

RE: BrowseWeb Plug-in (includes installer) by zigomar10 on 10-01-2003 at 12:22 PM

yeah, i dont know how i could fix that. but i noticed that with the stuffplug pager u can chat while its open . if any1 knows how i could do that plz reply, but i dont know if i'll include it cos the command that tells ur contact the url doesnt get sent until u close the window :undecided: (but maybe if it would be possible to chat while the window is open, then the command would get sent too :P) if not, your idea would be great for local browsing though (Y).

there will be a new version soon that'll include favorites and a favorite manager :P. u'll be able to send for example /xbrowser (!XFAV1), u wont have to type the URLs all the time :P. it will also include (!XPRVURL)- your last-viewed URL :P and there just might be some surprises :P.
if u have any more ideas, plz post them here or contact me on msn (look at my profile for my msn email ;))

RE: BrowseWeb Plug-in (includes installer) by Pure_BY on 10-08-2003 at 05:47 PM

Can you post any screenshots, how does browsing look like? :-/

RE: BrowseWeb Plug-in (includes installer) by zigomar10 on 10-10-2003 at 05:57 PM

ok :)
here is a screenshot of browsing locally ;). as i said before, u will soon be able to just use /xbrowser (!XFAV<number 1-9>) :p.

RE: BrowseWeb Plug-in (includes installer) by Pure_BY on 10-10-2003 at 06:12 PM

Aight, cool :P

So, if you type that, another person gets such a pop-up window, right?

And how does browsing together actually work... you see 2 mouses or what?

RE: BrowseWeb Plug-in (includes installer) by zigomar10 on 10-10-2003 at 06:23 PM

no, /xbrowser is for browsing locally (it means that only u c it). if u want the other user to see it, use /xnewurl ;).
browsing works like this:
you look at the site, copy a link, close the window and type /xnewurl <link> ;). all of that is actually written in the readme :P.

RE: BrowseWeb Plug-in (includes installer) by chris on 10-10-2003 at 06:38 PM

coul you make a way so that it automaticly sends then /xnewurl whenever you click a link type in a new page? that would be more convenient:) dont use it but would be nice if im showing someone something

RE: BrowseWeb Plug-in (includes installer) by DarKnight on 10-11-2003 at 12:20 AM

I kinda like this. It's kinda hard to understand at first, but I'm getting used to it.

yeah, i'm working on that but i dont know if its possible.

and now that u can send multiple messages in one sResult, in the next version it will automatically check ur contacts status when u invite him to browse :P. as i said earlier it will also have favorites and a favorite manager (screenshot of favorite manager attached :D). and also, it will have a better installer (u wont have to temporarily extract the files).
RE: BrowseWeb Plug-in (includes installer) by zigomar10 on 10-11-2003 at 01:57 PM

the next version will most probably also include an option to chat while u r browsing (there will be another text box under the address one in which you will type your message). :P
