Reporting posts by WDZ on 09-06-2003 at 04:27 AM

As some of you know, the "report post" feature hasn't been working on this board for quite a while. I just re-coded it, so feel free to use it when you see a problem with a post. The new system stores the reports in a database, and displays a notification to moderators when they come online. Hopefully this will help mods take care of spam faster, and do a better job of keeping the forums clean... :p

RE: Reporting posts by kao on 09-06-2003 at 04:43 AM

Nice work, now we can spam the admins about spam

RE: Reporting posts by WDZ on 09-06-2003 at 04:52 AM

Blah... you'd better not abuse the report feature... :dodgy:

RE: Reporting posts by fluffy_lobster on 09-06-2003 at 07:20 AM

Hmm, maybe report should be disabled in T&T... I can just imagine some newbie browsing through it and thinking "This forum's full of spam!" and reporting it all :P

RE: Reporting posts by Tandy on 09-06-2003 at 08:30 AM

I disagree, they could be links to illegal stuff in and T&T, that stuff isnt allowed anywhere on this forum.

- Average 8.25 reports per day.
- 119 reported posts were moved or ignored.
- 161 reported posts were deleted (or moved to T&T then deleted).

Nice stats, 'DZ... :D

I often wonder how many posts would have been reported more than once and many times I have left posts if I know Mnjul is online because I'm sure he would have already reported... :P
It's OK to report the you-think-is-reported posts by different members because it causes only staff's trouble:P

* Mnjul wonders why he hasn't received a pm asking him to stop reporting:P

Blah, if a forum staff is in IRC or MSN, I simply tell about it but not report to save his/her trouble:P
RE: Reporting posts by wacky on 10-10-2003 at 03:00 AM

I think it's great. often, mods dont even see that they're spamming but reporting it makes them realise they are without having to post about it in the thread :P (eh Chrono? :gfdrin:)
I'll be trying to report more often. I'm sure it makes u guys so happy :gfdrin:

RE: Reporting posts by Chrono on 10-10-2003 at 03:42 AM

50 reports handled (Y) :P

So will u add these to statistics.php ? :P
RE: Reporting posts by Muss on 10-10-2003 at 06:49 AM

89 minutes is quite fast, considering, WDZ is from america, chromo south america :dodgy:, johnny england, and me NZ.

Completely different time zones, none (maybe chromo and wdz though, no sure :P) are within an hour of each other (although as I said, I am not sure about chromo and wdz :P) so just uinder 1 and a half hours is good :P

RE: Reporting posts by Johnny_Mac on 10-10-2003 at 01:40 PM

As a target I think an aim should be to respond to reports under 60mins. I'd consider that efficient.

Maybe a mod subscribe thing to e-mail you if they are "reported posts". Obviously it's completely optional. :P

RE: Reporting posts by AustinM1983 on 10-10-2003 at 01:52 PM
